Good for cell abstractions, mounted units, civil disturbances and for patrol. Anytime you can control a suspect at distance and not go to empty hands, that's a good thing, especially if there bloody. If your familiar with using a straight stick or p/r the size is called preference and effectiveness not cumbersome.

Yes good idea, but looks like an improved PR-24 to me. I can see someone wrapping it over a head in a heated battle. I think the Taser is much more effective at reducing injuries to officer and suspects.

Not a bad concept. Just a couple of things wrong though. 1st off its to big and cumbersome. 2nd the video shows how it can be fairly easy to take away from you and even reversed on the officer. 3rd even though it had a locking device to help keep the subject under control? If the person was able to escape from you? At that point he/she would be armed with a large bludgenting weapon that could be used on a unsuspecting victom. I think I would have to give it some serious thought before I would ap...
