Mom is sitting at home saying "What did you do to my poor baby." It is Pretty standard UOF. Personally though, If I was the officer, and I truly believed he was reaching for a weapon, I wouldn't have jumped in the car to control him. More likely I would have stepped back, drew my weapon and ordered hands up and him out to prone. I know we all let our training go sometimes and become complacent. But if he WAS after a weapon, the last place I want to be is hanging in that car, both hands occupied with 3 out of 4 hands on 2 suspect unoccupied. These Officer's seem to do the right thing procedurally and did it well. I say what I say only out of safety concerns, not criticism. I am aware that new evidence questions the use reactionary gaps when in proximity, but don't put yourself in that proximity when you don't need to.

That is not Mass. That is Cape Coral FL. Caught me off guard when I noticed the local news anchors.

I have to say, as an ex-felon, When stopped at night turn on your overhead lights inside your vehicle, roll down the window, keep both hands on the wheel and FOLLOW the orders of the officer, and this will never happen. Don't whine after you have done something stupid. You did it to yourself!
Reasonable.... NEXT!
Must have missd something in the video(?) Had he done what he was told to do WHEN he was told to do so, instead of reaching, I suspect the take down would not have happened in the first place. Sorry, no wrong done by the officers in my eyes..
