Florida Officer Involved In Shooting

ummmm....so why wasn't a high risk stop conducted? Anytime you're in a pursuit regardless of the underlying offense there is no reason to approach the car. Glad this didn't turn out another way.

I only wish the Officer wouldve approached the suspect with his weapon instead of his tazer.

Great job after the taser! I’m not downplaying any actions taken by this officer because I was not there and do not know the whole story, but I would like to pose a question. Was there a need for this officer to approach the vehicle? What would have happened if the suspect came out of the car shooting? Was help coming that the officer could have waited for and then approached? Glad this ended the way it did! Stay Safe!

Overall this Officer did an amazing job!! What kind of idiot drives like that right in front of on Officer...lol Officer could have treated this as a felony stop. Would like to have seem him with his weapon to start...but great communication with dispatch with regard to location, shot's fired etc.., good tase in light of him having that at the time...great transition to lethal force..great verbal commands throughout...I would have kept firing until the perp no longer had the weapon...Period...but good shoot and retreat behind the vehicle and composure after the shot since the guy tossed the weapon...even called for EMS, supervisors...that was textbook.
