By the way, this officer invited this attack by ignoring the preassault indicators. Had he been more assertive, and not allowed this guy to think he might gain an advantage (by leaving him standing while he was sitting with his back to him) there would have likely been no incident. All assaults start as POTENTIAL assaults where the subject is weighing his odds of winning......Make sure he thinks the odds are not in his favor.

Personally, if he isn't cuffed he's in a cell. Should be the standard as should never turning your back booking room set ups. In my office now, no way out except through me and I'm always facing you.
