I agree with this video up until you added the quip about if you can't breathe you can't fight. Two things are wrong with this statement. One, you actualy can hold your breath while you fight, just not for any extended duration outside of your anaerobic capacity. We trainers know this as the oxygen debt after your stored energy in your muscles are depleted. Secondly, and NLETC will back me on this, LVNR and the first technique you showed, XVNR,do not restrict the airway and thus do not prohibit the subject from breathing. The suject may exhibit the valsalva manuever and imitate holding their breath but in actuality they are still able to breathe.
