Whoever added this video needs to change the title. The officer was cleared, he reached into his pocket to ensure his mic pack was operating. The TBI polygraphed him (he passed) and the suspect admitted to TBI investigators that the weed was his. The initial stop was for a domestic violence incident. Google the term Officer Chris Melton Cookeville". All you know-it-all loudmouth people who rushed to judgment and you CLAIM TO BE COPS? I damned sure wouldn't want all you backstabbers working on my shift, you are the real disgrace!!! Man I guess there are a lot of Judas types out there who would stick a knife in brother's back just as quick as the public does. What a ghastly display of very UN-cop like behavior. "

i just watched this and it makes me sick. i am a k9 handler in east tn and this makes us look like idiots. i mean if he didn't plant this, he sure as hell made it look like he did. i hope it is not so, but it sure as *** looks like he did. he looked back at the camera, went into his front right uniform shirt pocket....i don't know guys...it doesn't look good.

i didn't hear him deny the drugs were his and it was dark and hard to see anything for sure. i would hope with that many cops around they were not all crooked. i think its a case of not sure what you are seeing.

At no time the suspect denies of having drugs...so please, don't judge your co-workers....

All of you that commented on this and say emphatically that the officers planted something are an embarrassment to the profession. I watched the video and did not see anything that shows that anything was planted. To comment on this video and to say you can emphatically know that dope was planted is almost impossible. The video is not that great and much too dark to see anything like that.
