Police Car Gets Stuck Chasing Suspect on Bike Path

A man has been arrested after police say he led them on a chase in a stolen vehicle. Kettering Police say an officer saw a suspicious vehicle on Shroyer Road near Dorothy Lane on Saturday night, January 14. The officer checked the vehicle's registration and found out it was stolen out of Beavercreek. The officer started chasing the driver southbound on Far Hills Avenue into Washington Township, that's where the driver drove into Hithergreen Activity Center and into a wooded path. The officer followed, but his cruiser became stuck. The people inside the vehicle jumped out and started running. A K-9 officer ended up finding one of the people in the vehicle hiding in a back yard under a boat. Edmundas Baublys, 30, has been arrested on charges of obstructing official business. Police say the matter is still under investigation.
